GETTING TO KINGSGATE
Where is the closest Bus Stop?
Saltersgate is the closest bus stop. It is just across the roundabout from Staplee Way and a short 5-minute walk to our building. To get to KingsGate Conference Centre from the City Centre, take the number 4 bus towards Parnwell.
Can I walk to KingsGate Conference Centre from the Train Station?
To travel to KingsGate on foot, it will take approx. 1 hour from the city centre. There are some foot paths that you can follow and we recommend using Google Maps.
Do you have free parking on site?
Yes, we have free parking on site for up to 400 vehicles.
Do you have dedicated disabled bays?
Yes, we have a blue badge car park with 22 disabled bays. This is located to the right side of the car park, nearest the building.
Do you have electric car charging parking bays?
No, we do not have any electric car charging parking bays.
Can you order me a taxi?
We can give you the number for a taxi company that you can call to arrange your journey. We are not able to make these bookings for you.
Do you have bicycle parking?
Yes, we have outdoor bicycle racks on the east side of the building. No locks are provided. We are not able to store any bicycles inside the building.
ACCESSIBILITY
Is your site fully accessible?
Yes, KingsGate Conference Centre is accessible for all wheelchair users and motorised scooters.
Our main entrance has step free access. The building has fully accessible rooms on the ground floor, with a lift available to reach the first floor.
Accessible toilet facilities are available on all floors. We have six fully accessible toilet facilities within the venue.
An induction loop system is integrated in Auditorium, Seymour and Carmichael. Guide Dogs are permitted throughout the venue.
I left something at your venue, but I live far away, can you send it to me?
We are unable to sort out the return of an item to you, however we can keep it for 14 days for you to arrange collection. Please contact us to let us know when you are able to collect your property, between Monday to Friday from 8am to 5:30pm
Accommodation
There is a wide range of hotel accommodation in Peterborough and the surrounding area. Some of the local hotels may offer special delegate rates for those attending conferences at KingsGate.
WI-FI / TECHNICAL
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, we offer complimentary 1mb Wi-Fi for all delegates. We can provide dedicated Wi-Fi for a charge.
How do I connect to the complimentary Wi-Fi?
In your phone settings, connect to the KingsGate network – there is no password, and you will be automatically connected. If your event has dedicated Wi-Fi, select the Conferencing network and enter in the code for your event.
Is your Wi-Fi secure?
All delegates can connect to our complimentary KingsGate public Wi-Fi. As this is a public network, it is not a secure network – anyone can connect. We advise that you only trust websites with a “green padlock” in your browser to make sure that your connection to those websites is secure.
Our dedicated Conferencing Wi-Fi is a separate network to the public network. It is secured with a captive portal that requires a code to connect.
BUILDING SERVICES
Can I store my luggage somewhere?
Cloakroom areas can be booked by the organiser of your event. Please check with them if this will be available.
Can we have items delivered to your venue for our event?
We can only accept deliveries within 4 working days of your event date. Please inform the KingsGate Conference Team of all deliveries you are expecting, as failure to do so may result in refusal of delivery. Each item delivered needs to be clearly labelled with your booking reference number (e.g. ABC012345-001). Your event organiser will have this.
KingsGate Conference Centre is open for deliveries from 8am to 5:30pm.
